Farragut is a town in Knox County, Tennessee, United States and is a suburb of nearby Knoxville.It is included in the "Knoxville, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area". It is named in honor of American Civil War Admiral David Farragut, who was born just east of Farragut at Lowes Farry on the Tennessee River in 1801.The area was originally known as Cambell’s Station. A fort and stage couch station were built there by David Campbell in 1787. As of the census of 2000, there were 17,720 people, 6,333 households, and 5,231 families residing in the town. The median income for a household in the town was $82,726, and the median income for a family was $91,423. Males had a median income of $70,873 versus $34,955 for females.

Oak Ridge is a city in Anderson and Roane counties in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Tennessee, about 25 miles (40 km) west of Knoxville. Oak Ridge's population was 27,387 at the 2000 census.
