Cleveland is a city in Bradley County, Tennessee, United States. Cleveland is home to several industries, including household cooking equipment, foodstuff, textiles, furniture, storage batteries, pharmaceuticals, industrial cleaning products, photographic processing, industrial and domestic chemicals, and automotive parts. The city is home to Cleveland State Community College, a unit of the Tennessee Board of Regents. There are several thoughts as to the origin of the city's name. As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 37,192 people, 15,037 households, and 9,518 families residing in the city. One belief is that it is named after Cleveland, England. Other traditions say the community was named for Benjamin Cleveland, Revolutionary War soldier; or for John Cleveland, an original local settler.

Ooltewah is a census-designated place in Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 5,681 at the 2000 census. At one point it was the county seat of James County, a former Tennessee county which went bankrupt in 1919 and was subsequently incorporated into Hamilton County. The former James County Courthouse located in the square in downtown Ooltewah is the place's major landmark. As of the censusof 2000, there were 5,681 people, 2,153 households, and 1,619 families residing in the CDP. The median income for a household in the CDP was $42,243, and the median income for a family was $46,439. Males had a median income of $33,423 versus $23,036 for females.
